Unlock Tuition is an online Somali language tuition service that helps students of all levels learn to speak, read, and understand Somali in an engaging and structured way.

❓ Who are the teachers?
Our teachers are experienced Somali language tutors, fluent in both Somali and English, with a passion for making learning fun and accessible.

❓ Do I need any prior knowledge of Somali to join?
No! Our classes are designed for beginners as well as those who already know some Somali but want to improve.

❓ Are the lessons in-person or online?
All our lessons are conducted online via Zoom, making it easy to join from anywhere in the world.

Class & Curriculum Questions

❓ What will I learn in the lessons?
You’ll start with basic introductions and greetings, then move on to pronunciation, common phrases, sentence structures, and cultural insights.

❓ How are the lessons structured?
We have group lessons divided by age (6-11, 12-16, 17+). Our adult lessons are split between Male and Females with relevant tutors for a comfortable learning experience

❓ How long is each class?
Each session lasts 1 hour.

❓ Will I get homework or extra practice materials?
Yes, we provide additional resources and exercises to help reinforce what you learn in class.

Payment & Booking Questions

❓ How much does it cost?

• 6-11 & 12-16 classes: £8 per hour, paid monthly.

• 17+ classes (Adults): £10 per hour, paid monthly.

❓ Do I have to pay for all classes in advance?
Yes, payments are made monthly to secure your place for the term.

❓ How do I sign up and pay?
You can book your place and pay directly through our website.

❓ What if I miss a class?
If you miss a class, you won’t get a refund, but we’ll provide any materials covered so you can catch up.

❓ Are the lessons mixed-gender?
We have introduced separate male and female classes to create a comfortable learning environment for everyone.

❓ Can I get private lessons?
As of now, we are focusing on group lessons for the best development of our students.
